On 2/26/09, at about 10:30 am, members of the Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office Special Investigations Unit (SIU) ended a 4 month narcotics investigation into a Cocaine and Heroin drug trafficking organization. Following the service of a search warrant in the 8700 block of SE 67th Avenue in Portland, Lucy Elena Castro (12/13/73), Carlos Javier Cruz (4/20/72) and Dennis Lopez (6/20/84) were taken into custody and charged with several counts of possession and distribution of cocaine and heroin. Inside the home in various places were found over 40 ‘balloons’ of heroin packaged for sale, (24 grams worth $4000) and 8 grams of cocaine ($800), along with $5100 in cash. All three of the suspects are in this country illegally and have had ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement) holds placed on them. The three suspects are currently lodged at MCDC. Mug shots, charges and bails are posted on the MCSO public website, mcso.us.
Deputies found scales, packaging, 5100 in cash and approx. 1 oz of Heroin and 1/4 oz of Cocaine packaged in 64 balloons ready for sale.
The group illegal mexi-trash scum were responsible for selling Heroin and Cocaine in the Portland, Gresham and Clackamas areas.

OSP Traffic Stop Uncovers Second Large Seizure of Suspected Cocaine In Less Than One Week (Photos)

In less than one week, Oregon State Police (OSP) troopers have made a significant seizure of suspected cocaine during a traffic stop. The latest traffic stop Thursday afternoon on Interstate 5 north of Woodburn led to the arrest of three men Illegal aliens from Mexico and the seizure of approximately 51 lbs. of suspected cocaine.On February 26, 2009 at approximately 4:00 p.m. an OSP trooper stopped a rented silver Mazda passenger car northbound on Interstate 5 near milepost 275 for failing to maintain a lane of travel and suspicion of DUII. The car was occupied by three men i illegal mexican drug dealers from the mexican drug cartel identified as driver JOEL LUCIAN RUELAS-CASTRO, age 31, from Mexico; passenger MANUEL ALBERTO CASTRO LUGO, age 38, from Mexico; and, RIGO HUMBERTO LAMAS-PONCE (aka: Ivan Santiago-Mendes)( check out the fake ID ), age 29, from southeast Portland.Subsequent investigation during the traffic stop led to the discovery of approximately 51 lbs. of suspected cocaine with an estimated value of about $700,000. An OSP drug detection canine assisted during the stop.All three men were taken into custody by OSP troopers and lodged in Marion County Jail on the following charges:JOEL LUCIAN RUELAS-CASTRO

This was also illegal mexicans and I have a story on this arrest to. This arrest was unrelated to last Friday’s traffic stop and subsequent arrest of two individuals on Interstate 5 about two miles south of Canyonville after discovering approximately 31 lbs. of cocaine concealed in their vehicle.

* October 19, 2007 – 21 kilos (approximately 45 lbs.) and two pounds of crystal methamphetamine with an estimated total value of $600,000.
* July 10, 2008 – 5 lbs. of cocaine on Interstate 5 near milepost 10 with an estimated value of $65,000.

(Note: Stop location should have read “Interstate 5 near milepost 200″)Two California-area residents Mexican illegal drug dealers from Mexi-trash LA, were arrested Tuesday afternoon by Oregon State Police (OSP) during a traffic stop north of Eugene that led to the seizure of cocaine, methamphetamine, firearms and body armor.
On February 24, 2009 at approximately 2:35 p.m. an OSP trooper stopped a 2007 Chevrolet Tahoe displaying California license plates southbound on Interstate 5 near milepost 200 for a speed violation. The trooper identified the two occupants as driver JUAN FRANCISCO JIMENEZ JR., age 34, and passenger ALENIA ROSARIO NUNEZ, age 26, both from Los Angeles, California. The trooper checked to determine if either individual was wanted and learned JIMENEZ was sought by Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
Subsequent investigation during the traffic stop led to the discovery in the vehicle of:
* Approximately 14 grams of cocaine
* Approximately 8 grams of methamphetamine
* Two loaded handguns, one of which was confirmed as stolen in the Los Angeles area
* One set of body armor
* Approximately $9,500 cash
Both persons were taken into custody and lodged in the Lane County Jail on the following charges:

OPERATION GREEN REAPER STRIKES AGAIN
South Sound Raids Yields 4,495 Marijuana Plants(Seattle) – On Monday February 23, 2009, federal agents and local authorities executed 8 federal search warrants involving indoor marijuana grow operations in Thurston and Pierce Counties. The collaborative effort by law enforcement was part of ‘Operation Green Reaper’, targeting the command and control components of the Puget Sound’s indoor marijuana grow organizations and was investigated by law enforcement officials from the Drug Enforcement Administration and Tahoma Narcotics Enforcement Team (TNET), which is comprised of the Washington State Patrol, Washington Department of Corrections, Pierce County Sheriff’s Office, and the Tacoma, Puyallup, Bonney Lake, and Auburn Police Departments.
DEA Special Agent in Charge (SAC) Arnold R. Moorin stated, “Operation Green Reaper continues to have a pronounced impact on these organizations and we will continue our collective efforts with our law enforcement partners, for the benefit of our communities.”
In conjunction with these raids, law enforcement seized 4,495 marijuana plants from six residences, approximately 2,000 tablets of MDMA, 5 vehicles, and U.S Currency. The following five subjects were arraigned in federal court and have been charged federally with conspiracy to manufacture and distribute marijuana and possession of marijuana with intent to distribute:
Amanda Ky Nguyen, 62, of Seattle, Washington
Quang Vinh Vu, 48, of Ontario, Canada
Quoc Viet Huynh Nguyen, 28, of Glendale, Arizona
Ha Thuy Le, 43, of Ontario, Canada
Xuan Thanh Trang, 35, of Massachusetts
The above offenses and charges are punishable by up to 20 years in prison and a $1 million dollar fine.

Following a Friday morning traffic stop, Oregon State Police (OSP) arrested two individuals mexican Males ( from the mexican drug cartel?) on Interstate 5 about two miles south of Canyonville after discovering approximately 31 lbs. of cocaine concealed in their vehicle. The case and suspects have been turned over to federal authorities pending further investigation and consideration of federal charges.On February 20, 2009 at approximately 7:00 a.m. an OSP senior trooper stopped a 1998 Ford Explorer displaying a Washington license plate for following too close and a vehicle license violation.
Contact with the two occupants identified them as driver JUAN MANUEL JESUS LUCERO, age 19, from Palmdale,
California, and passenger RAY GAYTAN CUADRAS, age 26, residence unknown.

Both suspects were taken into custody without incident for Unlawful Possession, Manufacturing, and Delivery of a Controlled Substance – Cocaine.
The initial investigation with the assistance of OSP Drug Enforcement Section detectives led to both suspects being turned over to Drug Enforcement Administration agents for further investigation and consideration of federal charges.

Defendant pleads guilty in Salem stabbing case

Juan Vasquez-Cruz pleaded guilty today in the stabbing death of Martin Cruz-Bote. Judge Susan Tripp of the Marion County Circuit Court presided over the plea and sentencing.Shortly after 8:00 p.m. on August 12, 2008, officers responded to 1969 Hawthorne Ave NE, Apartment 28, on a reported stabbing.

When they arrived they found Martin Cruz-Bote had been stabbed. Medics transported Mr. Cruz-Bote to the Salem Hospital, where he later died.
The Salem Police Department conducted an extensive investigation into the circumstances surrounding the homicide. Mr. Vasquez-Cruz was arrested in connection with Mr. Cruz-Bote’s death.
The Oregon State Medical Examiner’s Office performed an autopsy on August 14, 2008. The cause of death was determined to be a stab wound. The manner of death was homicide.
The police investigation by Detectives Jamie Vasas and Garon Boyce revealed that Mr. Vasquez-Cruz had previously lived at the apartment with Mr. Cruz-Bote and still had belongings at the apartment at the time of the homicide. Mr. Vasquez-Cruz returned to the apartment to collect his belongings and brought a knife with him. There was an altercation involving the belongings.
Martin Cruz-Bote was married and had five minor children.
Following the stabbing, defendant avoided police contact until August 19, 2008, when he was arrested.
Defendant pleaded guilty to Manslaughter in the First Degree, which is a Ballot Measure 11 crime with a presumptive sentence of 120 months in prison. However, the defendant agreed to, and the court imposed, a sentence of 210 months, which is 17.5 years. Defendant may not earn credit for good time or early release
